Feedlot operations

The Feedlot operations in Dondo consist of the following activities: Procurement, fattening and sales.

Animals are procured from a) non commercial (informal) markets, mainly small farm holders; b) commercial markets; c) Mozcows own breeding herd.

The procured animals are treated with medicine, vitamines and washed at arrival in the Dondo feedlot, where they are fattend between 90 and 180 days.

After the fattening programme the animals are traded to local slaughterhouses, hotels, restaurants and to individuals for special celebrations.
